Altruix Privacy Policy

1. Scope of This Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes the policies and procedures of Sequon LLC d.b.a. Altruix (“Altruix,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) concerning the collection, use, and disclosure of personally identifiable information through altruix.com and other websites that link to this Privacy Notice (the “Sites”), the services, features, and content available through those Sites, and other interactions with customers and visitors (collectively, the “Services”). It does not apply to information collected from employees or contractors.

This Privacy Notice does not govern Protected Health Information subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Altruix’s use and disclosure of Protected Health Information is described in its separate Notice of Privacy Practices. If you are a patient, please review that notice for information about Altruix’s HIPAA privacy practices.

By using the Services or providing Personal Information through the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Notice. If you do not agree with this Privacy Notice, do not provide Personal Information through the Services.

2. Personal Information We Collect

“Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, can reasonably be associated with, or can reasonably be linked to an individual or household. It does not include Protected Health Information governed by HIPAA.

Identifiers

Name, email address, telephone number, postal address, date of birth, location, unique personal identifiers, and Internet Protocol address.

Professional information

Company, job title, position, and other professional or employment-related information, including information supplied by prescribers and healthcare professionals.

User-provided information

Information entered into contact forms, surveys, questionnaires, promotions, newsletters, program enrollment forms, and other communications with Altruix.

Internet and device information

Browsing and search history on the Sites, referring pages, browser type, device identifiers, device configuration, network information, regional and language settings, and interaction data.

Geolocation information

General location inferred from an IP address or provided through an application or device setting.

Sensitive information

Sensitive Personal Information, only when you voluntarily provide it through the Sites or when collection is needed and legally permitted. Health information collected in connection with patient services may be Protected Health Information governed by the Notice of Privacy Practices.

SMS information

Mobile telephone numbers and related SMS communication information if you enroll in Altruix SMS messaging. SMS-related information is also governed by the Altruix SMS Privacy Policy.

3. Sensitive Personal Information

Except where Altruix specifically requests it and collection is legally appropriate, please do not send or disclose sensitive Personal Information through the Sites or otherwise to Altruix. Sensitive Personal Information may include Social Security numbers; information about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, or other beliefs; health information other than as a patient; biometric or genetic characteristics other than as a patient; criminal background; trade union membership; precise geolocation; or similar information protected by applicable privacy laws.

If you choose to send or disclose sensitive Personal Information through the Services, you consent to Altruix’s processing and use of that information as described in this Privacy Notice. If you do not consent, please do not submit that information through the Services.

Altruix collects Personal Information that you provide voluntarily, information collected automatically when you use the Sites, and information received from service providers, analytics providers, communications providers, customer service providers, advertising providers, healthcare facilities and prescribers, and social media platforms.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Altruix and its service providers may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to recognize browsers and devices, understand how visitors use the Sites, remember preferences, improve the services, measure performance, and provide content or advertising that may be relevant to visitors. Cookies do not store personal or financial information directly on your computer.

Most browsers allow users to refuse or delete cookies. Disabling cookies may affect the operation of some Site features. The Sites do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Third-party services may provide their own controls for limiting the information they collect or share.

5. How We Use Personal Information

Altruix may use Personal Information to provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the Services; fulfill requests and agreements; provide customer support; communicate about products, services, educational information, industry updates, programs, events, and promotions; administer interactive features; analyze Site use and trends; process transactions; work with service providers; enforce agreements and policies; protect the security and integrity of the Services; prevent fraud and unlawful activity; investigate complaints; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Altruix may also create and use aggregated or deidentified information that does not reasonably identify an individual.

6. How We Disclose Personal Information

Altruix may disclose Personal Information to service providers that perform services on its behalf, including website hosting, software, payment processing, communications, fulfillment, analytics, customer service, security, marketing, and advertising services. Altruix may also disclose Personal Information to healthcare facilities, prescribers, professional advisers, and government authorities when appropriate.

Altruix may disclose Personal Information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction. Altruix may also disclose information when it reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, or policy violations; protect the rights, property, or safety of Altruix or others; or reduce credit risk.

Additional restrictions apply to SMS-related Personal Information. If you enroll in Altruix SMS messaging, Altruix’s collection, use, disclosure, and retention of SMS-related information is also governed by the Altruix SMS Privacy Policy and the Altruix SMS Terms & Conditions. If there is a conflict between this Privacy Notice and the Altruix SMS Privacy Policy regarding SMS-related Personal Information, the Altruix SMS Privacy Policy controls for that information.

7. Security and Retention

Altruix uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No method of Internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and Altruix cannot guarantee absolute security. Altruix retains Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, to comply with legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

8. Your Choices

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may also contact Altruix using the information below to update communication preferences. Even after a marketing opt-out, Altruix may send non-marketing communications, such as communications concerning an existing service request, transaction, legal notice, safety matter, or other relationship.

If you enroll in Altruix SMS messaging, SMS opt-out instructions are described in the Altruix SMS Privacy Policy and the Altruix SMS Terms & Conditions.

Residents of some jurisdictions may have rights concerning Personal Information. To submit a privacy-related request, contact Altruix as described below. Altruix will respond as required by applicable law.

9. U.S. Processing and Linked Sites

The Services are intended for residents of the United States. Personal Information may be processed and maintained in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in other jurisdictions.

The Services may link to websites and services that Altruix does not own or control. This Privacy Notice does not apply to those third parties. Review their privacy notices before providing information to them.

10. Children’s Information

The Sites are not directed to children, and Altruix does not knowingly collect Personal Information online from children without legally required parental consent. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information through a Site without appropriate consent, contact Altruix so that it can take appropriate action.

11. Changes to This Privacy Notice

Altruix may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The revised notice will be posted on the Sites with an updated effective date. Information will be handled in accordance with the notice in effect when it was collected unless Altruix provides additional notice or obtains consent when required by law.
